My wife Lana and I were hiking in Turkey when a black scruffy little dog with matted hair started following us. We named him Pamuk (Pah-mook), which means cotton in Turkish. Pamuk was a sweet, playful dog and slept outside our door each night. When the airport van came for us, Pamuk followed us inside and hid under our seats. The van driver tossed him out and drove away. When we saw our furry friend chasing our van we just knew we had to get him back. We arranged for Pamuk to be flown to Instan-bul where we were reunited! Pamuk now lives with us and his "sister" Latka the cat and his human "brother" Ansel.
We will be revealing the results of Pamuk's genetic breed test on October 17th. the patient who guesses correctly will win four tickets and a parking pass to "Boo at the Zoo" for October 24th. A donation will also be made in the winner's name to Promises Animal Resue here in Gainesville. Good luck!!! :o)
Congratulations to one of our patients who guessed Dachshund! Out of our hundreds of submissions, only one patient got it!
